Automated,
when the volume
calls for it.

As soon as the same component comes through often enough, the machine that carries it through itself pays off. We build it to suit the component and the cycle time — from the blast wheel through air blasting to the special-purpose machine.

Processes
By component and volume

Four routes,
one surface.

  1. Automatic through-feed wheel blast machine for pipe material, with wheel housing, feed rollers and control cabinet

    Wheel blast

    Wheel blast machines

The blast media is accelerated mechanically instead of by compressed air. On large areas that is considerably more economical, because no compressed air has to be generated — in exchange, the machine is tied to its geometry.

    • For high throughputs and consistent components
    • Roller conveyor, continuous or tumble-belt design
    • Blast media loop with integrated air classifier
  2. Automatic blast system: industrial robot with protective cover in the blast cabin

    Air blast & suction blast

    Blast cabins and continuous systems

Air blasting also reaches what a blast wheel misses — internal surfaces, undercuts, delicate geometries. Add workpiece handling and several nozzles and it becomes a continuous system.

    • Suction operation for fine media and light components
    • Workpiece handling by rotary table, belt or overhead conveyor
    • Nozzle guidance fixed, swivelling or driven on axes
  3. Shot peening system, blast head with feed rollers for the workpiece in the foreground

    Shot peening

    Strengthening, not cleaning

Shot peening is not about how clean the surface is, but about compressive residual stresses in the surface layer. That calls for a machine that holds intensity and coverage repeatably.

    • For components under sustained load
    • Repeatable intensity and coverage
    • Blast media testing and recirculation in the loop
  4. Special-purpose machine: long shot peening system with platform and conveyor line

    Special-purpose machinery

When the machine does not exist

Not every task has an off-the-shelf machine. We design and build the one that is missing — even when it has only marginally to do with blasting.

Describe the task

Component, material, quantity and cycle time — that is what the proposal for the system is built on.
